WHO ARE WE?
Notarius, a technological subsidiary of the Chambre des notaires du Québec, is a non-profit organization founded on June 19, 1996. Notarius has developed a public key infrastructure that delivers secure digital signatures reflecting technological and professional standards of practice. In fact, the transmission of information by electronic means has created such a shake-up that all professionals using this form of communication now have to ensure the digital security of their engineering documents.
Notarius, A RECOGNIZED leader
Revolutionary less than ten years ago, the digital signature issued by the Notarius public key infrastructure (PKI)—also known as the Quebec Certification Centre—is a reference standard for authenticating the holder's identify and professional status. This rigorous process, which is certified by a trusted third party, offers a high level of trust that is more and more recognized internationally. This model has also proven its usefulness to various professional orders in Quebec, notably
- the Chambre des notaires du Québec (Quebec's order of notaries),
- the Ordre des arpenteurs-géomètres du Québec (Quebec's order of surveyors – OAGQ),
- the Ordre des évaluateurs agréés du Québec (Quebec's order of chartered appraisers – OEAQ),
- the Ordre des technologues professionnels du Québec (Quebec's order of professional technologists – OTPQ).
The Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (Quebec's order of engineers) has also retained the services of Notarius and is proposing its digital signature to Quebec engineers.
AWARDS AND CERTIFICATION
- March 2009 - Notarius: certified ISO 9001, for an eight consecutive year, for the development and maintenance of technology solutions for all professionals.
- July 2007 - ISO 27001 certification of the public key infrastructure.
- May 2007 - Finalist at the Octas in the Business solutions category for ConsignO.
- May 2003 - Octas winner in the Information Security and Protection category, award received for its security solution.
- April 2003 - Winner of the Golden MIM (international multimedia market) in the secure solutions for electronic business category, for its Public Key Infrastructure.
- November 2002 - Winner at the Gala des affaires électroniques in the technological innovations category for its project to implement a public key infrastructure for the notarial practice.
- December 2001 - Notarius achieves ISO 9001-2000 certification.
